Company + founder

Independent by design.
Applied by necessity.

Hypermodern is an independent AI research and engineering practice founded by Dom Jocubeit. It develops architectures for systems in which trust must be observable, authority explicit and failure visible.

Working where institutional responsibility meets machine intelligence.

Dom’s work spans enterprise architecture, privacy engineering, AI governance, knowledge systems and the conceptual foundations of machine reasoning. Hypermodern is the vehicle through which those concerns become research programs, publications and working systems.

His central proposition is that architecture does not merely implement decisions made elsewhere. It determines which decisions, actions and failures can occur. The work therefore begins with boundaries: who holds authority, what evidence survives execution, where intelligence operates and how a claim can be challenged.

Hypermodern collaborates with institutions and researchers confronting consequential systems, particularly where conventional policy, cloud dependence or fragmented data cannot provide sufficient assurance.

Operating commitments

01

Claims should be falsifiable.

02

Authority should remain contestable.

03

Privacy should survive execution.

04

Failure should remain visible.

Bring us the system that cannot afford ambiguity.
